The question comes up in every first conversation, and the usual answer — "it depends" — is correct but useless. Here is what it depends on, with numbers.
The ranges below are ours. Other agencies calculate differently; freelancers sit below, large agencies above. What does not change are the factors that determine the price — and those are in the second part.
The short answer: price ranges for 2026
| Project | What is included | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Landing page | One page, one goal, design and build, tracking | from €2,500 |
| Company website | 5–10 pages, concept, design, build, CMS, SEO foundations | €4,500–9,000 |
| Website with branding | plus positioning, identity, messaging | €8,000–15,000 |
| Multilingual site / content system | several languages, editorial processes, many page types | €12,000–30,000 |
| Online shop | catalogue, checkout, payment, shipping logic | from €9,000 |
| Relaunch migration | crawl, URL concept, redirects, monitoring | €1,000–3,000 on top |
| Maintenance & development | updates, monitoring, small changes | from €150/month |
All figures net. With us you receive a fixed quote with a defined scope after the first call — no hourly packages, no surprises. What pushes a project to the top or bottom of a range comes next.
Factor 1: what the website has to do afterwards
Page count is the worst indicator of price. A landing page meant to turn ad budget into inquiries takes more work than ten pages nobody has to measure.
The question that sets the price: what should the site do after launch? Generate inquiries — then it needs conversion paths, tracking, forms handing off to the CRM. Get found — then it needs structure, content and technology search engines read cleanly. Sell a product — then shop logic, payment, shipping, tax. Only inform — then it gets cheaper.
Factor 2: who produces the content
The most underestimated item. Copy, photos, video — someone has to create them. If you supply them, they are not in the price above and the project stays cheaper. If we create them, copywriting starts at around €300 per page, photography from €800 per day depending on scope.
What we can say from experience: projects where content is meant to come "later" slip by weeks. Settle it before the start.
Factor 3: off-the-shelf design or from a concept
A purchased theme, adapted, is the cheapest option — and for some purposes entirely sufficient. It has two drawbacks: it looks like two hundred other sites, and it carries ballast that costs load time.
A custom design built from the concept takes more working time and in return delivers a structure that fits you and a system that grows with you. For us that is the standard — the ranges above refer to it.
Factor 4: the technical system
The choice of system affects operations more than the build. Roughly:
- Framer — fast to build, cheap to run, strong for marketing sites that change often. Limited for structured content and product logic.
- Webflow — mature CMS, good multilingual support, more subscription layers.
- Nuxt on Cloudflare — custom frontend, anything possible, hosting nearly free, but further development needs someone who writes code.
- WordPress — widespread, cheap, but with plugin ballast and a maintenance load many underestimate.
What we recommend when is in Framer vs. Webflow and Migrating from Framer to Nuxt.
Factor 5: multilingual
A second language is not double, but not free either. Technically it needs separate URLs per language, correct hreflang, a CMS that manages translations cleanly. Content-wise it needs translations read by someone who speaks the language. Expect a 30 to 50 percent surcharge for the second language; after that each language gets cheaper.
Factor 6: relaunch or new build
A relaunch is not a new build plus deleting the old site. It is a new build plus migration — and the migration decides whether your rankings survive. Crawl of the old site, URL concept, redirects without chains, sitemap, four weeks of observation. That is the "relaunch migration" line in the table, and it is the one not to cut. More in Website relaunch: when it makes sense.
What comes after launch
A website is finished on launch day and never again after that. Expect running costs:
- Hosting — from €0 (Cloudflare) to €40/month (Framer, Webflow), more for shops
- Domain — €10 to 30 a year
- Maintenance — updates, monitoring, security, small changes: from €150/month if someone does it for you
- Development — new pages, new features: by effort
- SEO and content — if organic visibility is meant to be a channel: from around €800/month for continuous work
Whoever invests nothing after launch has a site that feels old again in two years — not visually, but in substance.
How to spot a bad proposal
- There is no defined scope, only hours.
- Content, tracking and redirects are not mentioned.
- "SEO included" is in there without saying what it means.
- The price is far below everything else — then something is missing that gets bought later.
- Nobody asked what the website is supposed to do afterwards.
What to bring for a quote
Three things are enough: what should the site achieve — inquiries, sales, applications, information? Who supplies the content? Is there an existing site, and what about it does not work?
With those answers we can put together a fixed quote within a few days. Write to us briefly with what it is about — the assessment is non-binding, and sometimes it is that a smaller step makes more sense right now than a relaunch.
Frequently asked
Why is the range so wide? Because "website" describes everything from a business card to a platform. The range narrows as soon as it is clear what the site has to do.
Are deposits usual? Yes. With us 40 percent at start, the rest at launch. Larger projects in stages.
What if we only want to improve one page? Then it is not a relaunch but a small project — often in the low four figures. We say so.
Is there funding? In Austria there are digitalisation grants via WKO and aws depending on state and timing. We help assess whether your project qualifies.
