St. Pölten is the capital of Lower Austria and, with roughly 56,000 inhabitants, the largest city in the state. The location combines state administration, education including the university of applied sciences, cultural institutions around the Landestheater and Festspielhaus, and a broad base of trades, retail and services.
We are Numix Studio, an agency for branding, web design and SEO based in Wiener Neustadt.
A market where visibility is realistically winnable
The decisive difference to Vienna: in St. Pölten a top position for local search terms is achievable at reasonable effort. Competition for terms like "tax advisor St. Pölten" or "physiotherapy St. Pölten" is manageable, and many local providers do not meet the technical basics.
In practice that means: a fast, cleanly structured site, a complete Google Business Profile and content that answers a specific question will often get further here than three times the budget does elsewhere.
Being a state capital changes the requirements
Some businesses here work with or for public bodies. That brings in topics that are optional elsewhere: WCAG accessibility, traceable documentation, sound privacy statements, often bilingual content too.
Accessibility is now mandatory for many providers regardless. So we build it in as standard – sufficient contrast, visible focus states, keyboard operability, motion that can be switched off. That is good design and one risk less at the same time.
What we typically work on here
For consultancies, law firms and specialists positioning comes first: what do you do that twenty others do not also claim? For retail and hospitality what counts is friction-free use on a phone. For industrial and trade businesses in the surrounding area it is usually about customers and staff at the same time.
What stays the same in every case: we start with structure and positioning, not layout. That saves more time later than it costs at the beginning.
Working across the distance
St. Pölten is about an hour from our studio, so we plan deliberately: we group in-person meetings around the moments where they genuinely help – kickoff, strategy workshop, photo shoot, final sign-off. Everything else runs structured and remote, with fixed contacts and a project board where the current state is always visible.
Most websites go live in six to ten weeks. After launch we take on maintenance and optimisation if you want it, or hand over documented to your team.
The next step
Write to us through the contact page and tell us briefly what it is about. You will get an honest assessment within a few days – including when a relaunch is not the right investment right now. Examples are in our projects. Elsewhere in Lower Austria we work with clients in Wiener Neustadt, Baden and Mödling.
